Senior Ecologist

£40,000 - £50,000

Cambridge

A leading environmental consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Ecologist to join its growing ecology division in Cambridge. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced ecology professional to take on a varied role within a successful consultancy delivering environmental advice across residential, commercial, infrastructure, energy and conservation projects. You'll work as part of a multidisciplinary team, taking ownership of projects while helping to shape the continued growth of the ecology department.

Lead ecological surveys, site inspections and habitat assessments
Produce technical reports, impact assessments and mitigation strategies
Manage projects from quotation through to successful completion
Build strong relationships with clients, planners and external stakeholders
Support, mentor and review the work of junior ecologists
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high technical standardRequirements:

Significant experience within ecological consultancy
Proven ability to manage multiple ecological projects simultaneously
Strong technical report writing and communication skills
CIEEM membership, with chartered status or protected species licences desirable
Comprehensive knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy
Full UK driving licence
Full right to work in the UK
Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the Cambridge office
Willingness to travel for site work and client meetings as required
