Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Warehouse Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the logistics, supply chain, and customs bonded industry, with extensive knowledge of air and ocean import/export operations and compliance with CAA and Air Export legislations. The Senior Warehouse Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, manage three warehouse managers, and around 20 warehouse operatives, and ensure the efficient and compliant operation of the warehouse and distribution facilities.
Salary £55-65k includes car allowance, 25 days holiday Location : Heathrow
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage three warehouse managers responsible for day-to-day operations.
Provide leadership, coaching, and development opportunities to warehouse staff.
Ensure effective communication and collaboration between teams.
Oversee air and ocean import/export operations, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
Manage logistics warehouse distribution to optimize inventory management and order fulfillment.
Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including CAA and Air Export legislations.
Maintain and manage customs bonded warehouse operations in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Implement and monitor compliance programs and procedures.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance.
Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Continuously evaluate and improve warehouse processes and systems.
Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
Lead initiatives to improve safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in warehouse management within the logistics, supply chain, or customs bonded industry.
Extensive knowledge of air and ocean import/export operations.
Strong understanding of CAA and Air Export legislations and compliance requirements.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel for reporting and data analysis.
Experience in creating PowerPoint presentations for customer meetings.
Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software
