Overseeing and executing advanced post-processing of GPR and EML data, coordinating closely with CAD and topographical teams to deliver complete, accurate utility models.
Conducting advanced site reconnaissance, complex utility mark-outs, methodology planning, and robust site-specific risk assessments (RAMS).
Mentoring and supervising junior surveyors and assistants on-site, providing quality assurance and technical guidance.
Acting as a technical point of contact on-site for clients and contractors, ensuring projects meet rigorous safety standards and client specifications.
The Package:
Up to £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + fully expensed company vehicle / van allowance.
Company pension scheme and statutory holiday allowance.
Clear pathway for career progression into operations management or senior technical consultancy.
Continued professional development (CPD) support within a multi-disciplinary surveying team.
Technical Essentials:
To be successful in this senior role, you must demonstrate proven technical authority and independent project execution:
Experience: Extensive proven field track record executing and delivering utility mapping projects across highways, rail, commercial, or major infrastructure environments.
Compliance & Standards: Comprehensive knowledge of PAS 128 specifications and reporting standards.
Hardware & Software: Advanced proficiency with electromagnetic locating equipment (e.g., Radiodetection RD8100/RD8200) and GPR systems (e.g., Leica, IDS, Mala), alongside data post-processing software.
Qualifications: Valid CSCS Card and a clean, full UK Driving Licence (mandatory). ProQual Level 3 or Level 5 in Utility Mapping and Surveying is strongly advantageous.
