Job Title: Senior Training Manager – Skills and Industrial Work Experience

Location: York and Hull - North / East Yorkshire - Centre based

Salary: up to £45,000 (Depending on experience)

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the mobilisation team for a brand-new education facility. This role offers the unique and exciting challenge of establishing new structures, recruiting your team, and shaping the landscape of the Industrial Workshop spaces from the ground up.

Duties: 

Oversee the training conducted within the workshop settings, ensuring the environment is realistic and complies with health and safety regulations.
Work closely with the team to create and implement an effective employment strategy, enhancing employability training and guidance for individuals nearing the employment market.
Responsible for line managing a team of Tutor's and Employment Coaches to support learners with developing relevant work skills to transition into employment.
Oversee the training of delivery staff to ensure they are fully competent and qualified.
Identify commercial work to fill production capacity, prepare quotes, oversee ordering, logging, storage and disposal of materials.
Ensuring participants are supervised at all times and inducted / trained appropriately.
Create and maintain production targets, to ensure all work meets the required standards and is financially viable.
Execute and review local industry improvement plans.
To maintain and develop positive partnerships, both internally and externally.
Essential Criteria:

Must hold proven experience of working within an industrial or commercial training/production environment, with experience of managing large teams and budgets. 
Must hold or be working towards IOSH
Must possess an understanding of ISO9001 standards or similar quality management systems; Health and Safety requirements in industrial settings and adult learning principles.
Ability to handle conflict and disciplinary issues effectively.
Strong leadership and performance management experience and skillset.
Ability to inspire, lead and motivate teaching staff and learners.Please note:
