Key Responsibilities:
* Direct Service Delivery:
* Provide direct care and support to young people
* Assist in the implementation of care plans and activities designed to meet the individual needs of each young person.
* Support to Management:
* Assist the Management team in achieving organizational goals as per statutory and organizational guidelines.
* Ensure that the highest standards of care, guidance, support, and protection for young people are maintained.
* Shift Work:
* Participate in a work rota system
* Follow the shift patterns as determined and planned by the manager to meet the needs of the home.
* Practical Tasks:
* Perform practical tasks as outlined in individual job lists.
* Record Keeping and Administration:
* Maintain accurate records and support auditing and maintenance of children’s files.
* Assist with the collation of reports and communication with external agencies.
* Health and Safety:
* Familiarize with and implement fire drill procedures and other safety protocols.
* Remain vigilant regarding health and safety issues and report concerns to line management.
* Maintenance of Environment:
* Ensure its surroundings are kept clean and tidy.
* Meetings and Supervision:
* Attend staff meetings and other required meetings, ensuring actions are communicated and implemented.
* Participate in regular supervision sessions with the Registered Manager.
* Contribute to and participate in annual appraisals.
* Training and Development:
* Attend training sessions as part of an individual development plan.
* Complete all mandatory and regulatory training as required by the organization.
* Policy Promotion:
* Understand and promote policies on care and control, child protection, open access to records, and equal opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
Relevant qualifications in social care or related field.
Experience in working with young people in a care setting.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Commitment to continuous professional development.
