Senior Test Technician

Description:

Platform Resourcing are currently working with a leading manufacturing company who are looking to expand their team by taking on a Senior Test Technician in Cardiff.

The successful candidate will be a senior member of a Quality team responsible for ensuring that all manufactured products meet a high level of quality in line with customer expectation.

Must be able to work Monday to Friday shifts Week 1: 6am - 2pm, Week 2: 2pm to 10pm, Week 3: 10pm - 6amThis role will change to a "223" shift pattern by the end of 2024 due to an internal uplift and new shift starting - this will go as follows: 2 days in, 2 days off, 3 days in, 2 days off, 2 days in, 3 days off etc. These shifts will be 12 hour shifts

Senior Test Technician Benefits:

Basic Salary £30,000, with 10% shift allowance on top for afternoons, 30% for nights.
Monday to Friday, shifts Week 1: 6am - 2pm/ Week 2: 2pm - 10pm/ Week 3: 10pm - 6am, moving to "223 pattern in January 2025)

Satisfy the business' Factory Production Control requirements against all accredited
Manage production operations-based customer complaints, working closely with process and improvement engineers to eliminate future issues.
Manage documentation control.
Regular operations SOP & QA document reviews. Capable of up-revisions when necessary.
Incoming material control.
Conduct and be responsible to dictate operations internal audits.
Deal with paperwork related to product warranties and manage departmental expectations.
Be the integral link for external auditors. Ensure we are compliant with all necessary regulations.
Control calibration records and ensure all calibrated devices are fit for purpose.
Conduct internal calibrations when needed and arrange externally for all others.
Work closely with the lab technicians to ensure the highest quality product is maintained.
Closely monitor adherence to all QC checks and be able to validate production and processes before product has left site.
Identify trends and highlight suggestions for improvements.
Assist with, and prepare operational KPI data for analysis.
Monitor testing equipment performance to ensure process stability and control
Support the operations team with project work
Raise supplier non conformances when required and follow through until resolution.
You will convene quality meetings, collating data in a presentable manner.
You will oversee Red Flag production runs, providing an extra safety net to ensure quality processes are being adhered to.
Investigate INC's raised, organise with production teams if anything is to be replaced.
Ensuring all paperwork and SAP adjustments are done correctly.Senior Test Technician Essential Experience:

At least 3 years of experience within a similar Quality Testing position within a Production, Manufacturing or Engineering environment
Strong mathematical, analytical and technical skills
Experience of interpreting test data and material behaviours
Can work diligently against standard operating procedures
Good investigative and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
Good interpersonal skills and organisational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Decision making ability coupled with the ability to work independently and proactively
Knowledge of statistical packages and Microsoft Office systems normally requiredPrivacy and General Data Protection Policy
