Senior Temporary Works Engineer – London
Our client is a well-established, award-winning structural engineering consultancy with an excellent reputation for delivering complex temporary works solutions across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Senior Temporary Works Engineer to join their London office.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving technically challenging problems, working directly with clients, and playing a key role in the delivery of high-quality temporary works designs.
The Role
As a Senior Temporary Works Engineer, you will lead the design and coordination of a broad range of temporary works schemes, working closely with contractors, developers and design teams across major infrastructure and building projects.
Alongside your technical responsibilities, you will build and maintain strong client relationships, coordinate internal project teams, and mentor junior engineers, helping to maintain the consultancy's high technical standards.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* 8+ years' experience in temporary works design within a consultancy environment.
* Strong technical expertise in the design of structural temporary works.
* Experience operating at Senior Engineer level, taking ownership of projects from concept through to completion.
* A proven ability to manage client relationships and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
* Excellent communication and commercial awareness.
* A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
* Exposure to geotechnical temporary works would be highly advantageous, although it is not essential.
