The Client
Our client is a leading provider of survey, positioning, and data management services to the energy sector. Established in 2005 our client operates globally, with facilities in locations including the UK, Australia, Canada, and the UAE.
Our client offers a comprehensive range of surveying services. These services include 3D asset management solutions, land surveying, laser scanning, photogrammetry and dimensional control services.
The Role
Our client is seeking a senior surveyor to join their team in central Scotland. The senior surveyor will oversee the management of resources and logistics for geomatics projects and ensure the timely delivery of final outputs within their designated region. The role primarily involves conducting a variety of geomatics surveys, including Topographic, Utility, and Dimensional control surveys across the UK and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the Geomatics Project Manager: Assist in daily operational tasks to ensure smooth project execution.
• Topographic and Utilities Surveys: Perform topographic, utilities, and dimensional control surveys, ensuring high standards of accuracy and quality.
• Team Leadership: Supervise Geospatial Assistants and collaborate effectively with Surveyors and Project Managers.
• Equipment Operation: Operate Total Stations, GNSS equipment, Laser Scanners, Ground Penetrating Radar, Radio Detection Equipment, and other surveying tools.
• Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee projects from inception to completion, including planning, execution, monitoring, and post-completion review.
• Client Liaison: Communicate with clients about project execution and track key performance indicators.
• Client Relationship Management: Develop and implement strategies to strengthen client relationships.
The Requirements
• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Industry Experience: Prior experience in the Geospatial/Industrial Measurement industry is essential.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in AutoCAD, LSS, Trimble Business Centre, Leica Cyclone, Register 360 software.
• Independent and Collaborative Work: Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work away from home and overseas as required.
• Driving License: A valid driver's license is essential.
• Passport: Must hold a valid passport-free from restrictions that preclude travel to and work in countries where our client operates.
