P+S Care and Support is proud to be representing a well-established children's residential care provider in the recruitment of an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker for one of their Children's EBD homes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and dedicated childcare professional looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive organisation that genuinely invests in its people.

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), helping to create a safe, nurturing and structured home environment where they can thrive.

Working alongside the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager, you will lead by example, mentor colleagues and ensure the highest standards of care are consistently delivered.

Key Responsibilities

* Supporting young people with their emotional, behavioural and social development.

* Acting as a positive role model and promoting positive outcomes.

* Leading shifts and supporting the wider care team.

* Building positive, trusting relationships with young people.

* Encouraging education, independence and life skills.

* Completing accurate daily records, risk assessments and care documentation.

* Administering medication in line with company policies.

* Safeguarding children and promoting their welfare at all times.

* Liaising effectively with families, social workers and external professionals.

What We're Looking For

* Previous experience working within a Children's Residential Home.

* Experience supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

* NVQ/QCF Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or willing to work towards is essential.

* Previous experience as a Senior Residential Support Worker or someone ready to step into a senior role.

* Strong leadership and communication skills.

* Sound knowledge of safeguarding and children's legislation.

* Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
