Are you an experienced Senior Support Worker or Team Leader looking for your next step?
We are recruiting an experienced and motivated Female Team Leader to lead a small, dedicated support team working with a young woman with a physical disability in Cambridge.
This is a bespoke community-based role supporting one individual, with a strong focus on independence, autonomy, rehabilitation and enabling her to live a full and active life.
One of the biggest differences with this role is that you will have 16.5 protected Team Leader/admin hours every week.
You'll have dedicated time to lead your team properly, oversee standards, communicate with professionals and ensure the package runs effectively.
Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you'll remain actively involved in the client's life, typically completing one day shift and one waking night shift each week.
????‍???? Your leadership role
You will take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and coordination of the team, including:
* Providing positive and effective leadership
* Acting as a professional role model
* Supporting, mentoring and motivating team members
* Completing staff supervisions and contributing to appraisals
* Organising and leading regular team meetings
* Supporting rota planning and ensuring appropriate staffing coverage
* Maintaining excellent communication across the team
* Liaising with the client, family, Case Manager, Deputyship team and other professionals
* Monitoring care plans, rehabilitation plans and risk assessments
* Ensuring records and documentation are completed to a high standard
* Identifying concerns and escalating appropriately
* Supporting the management of prescriptions, equipment and essential supplies
* Promoting consistent, high-quality and person-centred support
???? Direct support
This isn't a management role where you lose contact with the person you're supporting.
You'll also work directly with the client, supporting:
* Independence, choice and autonomy
* Personal care and medication
* Daily living skills and routines
* Social, leisure and community activities
* Appointments and activities
* Rehabilitation and therapy programmes
* Communication and engagement
* Access to an active and fulfilling life
* Driving the client's Motability vehicle
