An established children’s home near Matlock is expanding under new management and now recruiting an experienced Senior Support Worker (SRSW) to join a highly child‑focused team. The home currently supports one child and is growing to three, offering a nurturing, rural environment where young people can feel safe, valued and supported. This role suits an experienced Senior Residential Care Worker, Senior RCW, or a developing RSW ready to step up into a senior position.

This beautiful countryside home provides a stable, therapeutic setting with a passionate management team who prioritise emotional safety, consistency and child‑centred practice. With planned expansion already underway, this is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Support Worker who wants to contribute to a developing service and help shape best practice.

About the Role

As a Senior Support Worker (SRSW) you will:

*

Provide nurturing, structured care to children with emotional and behavioural needs

*

Lead shifts and support the team in delivering consistent, therapeutic practice

*

Support daily routines, independence and positive outcomes

*

Maintain high‑quality safeguarding, recording and documentation

*

Work therapeutically within a stable, rural home

*

Model calm, resilient, child‑centred behaviour and guide RSWs in best practice

This role is ideal for a confident Senior Support Worker, Senior Residential Care Worker, or Senior RCW who thrives in a therapeutic, rural setting. Applicants from other settings will also be considered, including those who have worked in a senior capacity with children under 18 within any Ofsted‑regulated environment such as education, supported living or specialist provision. If you have led teams, supported young people and delivered child‑centred practice in a regulated setting, your experience is highly valued and transferable to this Senior Support Worker role.

Requirements

Passion for supporting children

Calm, resilient and child‑focused approach

Experience of working with children in an Ofsted‑regulated environment

*

NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care (preferred but not essential)

*

Full UK driving licence

*

Willingness to work within a therapeutic, rural setting
