Preferred but not essential: NVQ Level 3/4 in Children’s Residential Care & Uk Drivers Licence

A Children’s Senior Residential Care Worker is required for a 2‑bedroom therapeutic children’s home in Worksop. This role suits either an experienced Children's Senior Care/Support Worker, (Senior RSW/ RCW), or a developing Children's Support/ Care worker (RSW/ RCW) ready to step up into a senior position.

You’ll join a small, experienced supportive team delivering structured care, daily routines, activities, emotional support and safeguarding. The home is led by an experienced passionate, child‑centred provider who believes every child deserves safety, connection and trust. As a Children’s Senior Residential Worker, you’ll help shape the home’s therapeutic culture, ensuring every interaction reflects empathy, curiosity, connection and emotional safety.

In this therapeutic environment, the focus is on understanding the meaning behind behaviour and responding in ways that build resilience, confidence and self‑worth. As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll model trauma‑informed and restorative practice, lead shifts, support colleagues, and offer stability and hope to the young people you care for.

Key duties include implementing care plans, maintaining records, supporting therapy, completing household tasks, and promoting positive behaviour. A a Senior Support Worker you must have previous experience of working with children under 18 in a residential setting.
