Role: Senior Support Worker

Location: Wisbech

Hours: 40 hour working week - varied working hours - including 1 sleep-in per week.

Salary: £31,500 per annum + £2,860 for extra sleep-in payments

Benefits: Pension Scheme, Yearly pay increase, Yearly performance bonus, Additional sleep-in payments, High quality training and support, Free food and drinks on shift, 28 days holiday pay + additional days for length of service, Friendly and welcoming staff team.

Busy Bee Recruitments are working alongside an amazing social care client and are seeking a enthusiastic and caring Senior Support Worker to come and join their friendly team supporting 4 young people between the ages of 8-16 years based in a cosy residential setting in Wisbech.

Our client is a well-established company offering a specialist residential children’s home attached to a school for boys who have social, emotional, and behavioural needs. They have serviced Cambridgeshire and other local authorities for the past thirty-five years and are now recruiting for some more amazing Individuals to join their growing team.

Who are we?

Job role:

* You will deliver emotional support to the young people.

* You will assist and promote the young people to live more independently.

* You will provide comfort and companion ship to those in your care.

* You will contribute to the maintenance of a positive, safe and homely environment.

* You will undertake observations on those in your care and will document this as necessary in their care plans.

* You will attend appointments, social visits, and days out with those in your care.

* You will be involved in staff supervisions / disciplinary / 1-1s

* You will assist the management with recruitment and rota coordinating

* You will set the example and standards for junior member of staff

* To work in partnership with parents, social workers, other agencies, and other professionals linked to the young person’s care plan, to effectively fulfil the responsibility of parenting the young people, ensuring the maintenance of family contact where appropriate.

What we are looking for:

* You MUST be over the age of 23

* You MUST have a driving license

* You MUST have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in residential childcare

* You must have a minimum of Level 3 in Residential Childcare

* Right to work in the UK

* Ability to work weekends

* Excellent communication skills and relationship building skills

* Satifactory references

* A kind, patient, and caring personality

* A genuine interest for supporting and learning with young people
