Job Title: Senior Support Worker
Reporting To: Home Manager
Salary
* £13.75 per hour
* Full time is contracted to 163 hours per month, any hours completed over 163 will be paid time and a quarter.
* Sleep shifts are £70
Job Purpose
We are looking for a caring, motivated, and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our children's residential home. You will help provide a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for young people while leading shifts and supporting the staff team.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead shifts and support the day-to-day running of the home.
* Build positive relationships with children and young people.
* Support young people with their daily routines, education, and personal development.
* Ensure care plans are followed and records are kept up to date.
* Provide guidance and support to Residential Care Workers.
* Promote safeguarding and the welfare of children at all times.
* Work closely with managers, families, and other professionals.
* Support staff development through coaching and supervision.
What We're Looking For
* Experience working with children and young people in a residential care setting.
* Previous experience in a senior or leadership role is desirable.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A positive role model with a passion for helping young people achieve positive outcomes.
* A flexible approach to shift work, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
* Full UK driving licence preferred.
