Position Overview: A skilled and experienced Residential Senior Structural Engineer to join a busy team. In this role, you will play a vital role in assisting clients throughout the entire process of residential projects, from initial structural assessments to overseeing new constructions. You will leverage your expertise and understanding of residential structures to provide comprehensive solutions that meet client needs while adhering to industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities as a Senior Structural Engineer:
Structural Assessments: Conduct thorough structural assessments of existing residential properties to evaluate their integrity, identify potential issues, and recommend necessary repairs or improvements
Design and Analysis: Utilize your expertise in structural engineering to design and analyze residential structures, ensuring they are safe, durable, and compliant with building codes and regulations
Project Management: Manage residential projects from conception to completion, including coordinating with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and successful project delivery
Client Consultation: Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on structural matters, addressing their concerns, answering inquiries, and offering recommendations tailored to their specific needs and objectives
Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed technical reports, drawings, and specifications for residential projects, documenting design decisions, calculations, and compliance with relevant standards
Construction Oversight: Oversee the construction phase of residential projects, conduct site visits, inspect workmanship, and addressing any structural issues or deviations from the approved plans
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field
Experience in residential structural engineering
Proficiency in structural analysis software such as TeklaTedds, Tekla, CAD and Bluebeam
Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to residential construction
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issueBenefits:
