Hours: 37.5 hours a week

Pay: £29.33 per hour

About the Trust

What you’ll be responsible for:

· Manage and effectively control the workload of a strategic procurement team. This will include working with the Head of Procurement and key stakeholders to develop and prioritise a coherent work plan, allocating work within the strategic team and developing the skills and knowledge of team members.

· Managing and delivering a strategic procurement service to the Trust including but not limited to tenders and quotes, mini-competitions and full OJEU process to ensure best value for money.

· Recruitment and selection of staff.

· Manages staff performance and disciplinary issues.

· In conjunction with the Head of Procurement develops departmental and Trust-wide procurement policies.

· Formulates complex plans and planning strategies for procurement projects.

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

· Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

· Proficient knowledge of UK Public Contracts Regulations 2015.

· Proficient knowledge of procurement strategy

· Good knowledge of project management principles and experience of managing complex procurements.

· Knowledge of Procurement Regulations.

· Knowledge of, Crown Commercial Service, other public sector framework agreements and NHS Supply Chain.

· Ability to coach, mentor and train others.

· Strong leadership skills.

· Significant managerial or supervisory experience.

· Experience of public sector tendering and contracting.

· Experience of working with multiple stakeholders.

This role may require you to show evidence of education at master’s level or at least 2 years relevant experience.
