Key Responsibilities
As Senior Sous Chef, you'll support the Head Chef in running the kitchen, maintaining exceptional food standards and ensuring a smooth and efficient service.
Support the Head Chef in delivering consistent, high-quality food
Plan and coordinate kitchen operations alongside senior management
Coach and develop the team, fostering a positive and collaborative culture
Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene and allergen regulations
Support recruitment, training and the ongoing development of team members
Control costs and drive profitability through effective stock and menu management
Communicate effectively with the kitchen team, front of house and guests
Maintain high standards of food quality and service during busy periods
Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure consistently excellent results
Support junior team members during preparation and service
What we're looking for
We're looking for a passionate Chef with strong leadership skills, excellent organisation and a genuine commitment to delivering outstanding food.
Experience working in an AA Rosette-awarded establishment
Confidence working across all kitchen sections, including food preparation
Strong organisational and communication skills
A commitment to the highest standards of food quality, preparation and presentation
Understanding of food costs, kitchen operations and guest satisfaction
The ability to support, coach and develop junior chefs
A positive, professional approach with excellent attention to detail
The ability to build strong working relationships across the hotel
