As Senior Sous Chef, you'll work closely with the Head Chef to lead the kitchen operation in Burgess Hill. You'll play an important part in developing the team, maintaining standards and helping the restaurant deliver consistently excellent food and service.
You will:
Lead and motivate the kitchen team during busy services
Take responsibility for individual sections and overall food quality
Mentor and train junior members of the brigade
Support ordering, stock control and gross profit management
Maintain excellent health, safety and food hygiene standards
Step up to lead the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
Contribute ideas to seasonal menus and daily specialsWhat we're looking for
The successful Senior Sous Chef will be a confident kitchen leader with the drive to progress and make a positive impact. You'll need:
Strong experience within a quality restaurant or gastropub environment
Confidence working in a busy, fresh-food kitchen
A creative approach to seasonal ingredients
The ability to inspire, develop and organise a team
Excellent attention to detail and consistently high standards
