About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Senior Solutions Manager to join our growing team and play a key role in developing and delivering complex temporary and permanent pumping solutions across the UK.

This is a senior, high-impact role combining engineering expertise, commercial awareness, business development and project leadership. You will act as a technical authority for the business, working closely with customers, consultants, contractors, utilities and internal teams to develop innovative, safe and commercially successful solutions.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape and establish a market-leading solutions function, supporting growth across key sectors including water utilities, construction, infrastructure, industrial and environmental services.

The Role

As Senior Solutions Manager, you will take ownership of complex opportunities from initial enquiry and site survey through to solution design, commercial proposal, project delivery and completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the sales team in securing major project opportunities.

Developing strong relationships with key customers, consultants, contractors and utility clients.

Acting as the technical lead during customer meetings, site surveys and solution presentations.

Identifying new opportunities and driving growth within existing and prospective accounts.

Supporting framework submissions, tenders and major bid responses.

Designing and specifying temporary and permanent pumping systems.

Developing solutions for bypass pumping, dewatering, flood mitigation and over-pumping projects.

Producing technical proposals, calculations, drawings and scope documents.

Ensuring solutions meet customer requirements, engineering standards and commercial objectives.

Overseeing projects from enquiry through to completion.

Conducting site surveys and feasibility assessments.

Coordinating internal teams, specialist subcontractors and suppliers.

Ensuring RAMS are produced, reviewed and adhered to.

Managing installation, commissioning and project close-out activities.

Monitoring project performance, costs, margins and profitability.

Preparing and reviewing quotations and project cost models.

Supporting pricing strategy for large and complex opportunities.

Maintaining a strong focus on health, safety, quality and compliance.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a commercially driven and technically capable professional with significant experience in pump rental, water, utilities or a related engineering environment.

You should have:

Proven experience designing and delivering complex pumping solutions.

Strong project management experience.

Commercial awareness and experience managing project profitability.

Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers and multiple stakeholders.

The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Excellent customer-facing, communication and presentation skills.

Strong knowledge of pumping technology and associated equipment.

Experience with CAD.

A full UK driving licence and willingness to undertake UK-wide travel.

Desirable Experience

It would be advantageous if you also have:

A Mechanical or Civil Engineering qualification.

Experience working within utility frameworks or regulated water environments.

Knowledge of telemetry, controls and electrical installations.

APMP, PRINCE2 or another recognised project management qualification.

IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.

About You

You will be a confident and credible professional who can operate comfortably at both technical and commercial levels.

We are looking for someone who is:

Commercially driven and results focused.

Customer focused with a strong business development mindset.

A confident technical leader with strong stakeholder management skills.

Solutions focused and able to think creatively.

Highly organised and capable of managing multiple complex projects.

Comfortable working autonomously and making sound decisions under pressure.

An excellent communicator with strong presentation skills.

Passionate about delivering safe, innovative and commercially successful engineering solutions.

Why Join Us?

This is more than a traditional sales or project management position. You will have the opportunity to build and lead a solutions capability from the ground up, influence the company's growth strategy and become a key technical figure within the business.

You will play a central role in positioning the company as a first-choice provider for complex pumping, bypass, dewatering and infrastructure projects across the UK, working on challenging and high-profile projects within some of the country's most important infrastructure sectors.

If you have the technical expertise, commercial drive and ambition to make a significant impact, we'd like to hear from you.
