Role: Senior Solution Architect / Team Lead
Location: Hybrid - mainly remote / home-based with very occasional travel to HO in the South, (few times a year)

Key Skills: Senior TDA on systems architecture matters affecting End User Computing across the Force. EUC, M365, MS Entra (ideal), HLD, LLD, Technology Road mapping, Azure, Windows 10, MEM/Intune etc.

This particular Police Force are a technology driven Police Force and require an individual who shares their passion for delivering sound architectural vision for delivery of critical emergency services whilst considering national policing specifications.
The role in summary:
Provide architectural design guidance
Create and maintain technical artefacts
Lead design authority for projects, creating high quality documentation including concept high level and/or low level designs
Engage with suppliers and project teams to ensure delivery in line with agreed designs and outcomes
Lead the Architecture Team with regards to architectural standards
Deputise for the Head of Strategy and Architecture as required
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Essential:
7+ years in architecture, design & management including at least 2 years in a Senior / Team Lead capacity. Experience guiding more junior Architects.
Familiarity with implementation Patterns / fluency with architectural languages
Experience in informal and formal design methodology, (design diagrams, narrative and description)
Experience taking holistic view across different technical concepts, (i.e.. System, Service, Performance, Support, Flow analysis, Security)
Strong written and verbal communication skills, confident communicating with Stakeholders and strong decision maker.
Familiarity with Prince2/Agile and ITIL concepts
Appreciation of formal design methodologies, (Z, CSP, Discrete Mathematics etc.). Knowledge of TOGAF / Zachman or equivalent** You will need to be able to demonstrate that you have lived and worked in the UK for the last 5 years in order to meet the security vetting required for this role
