Purpose of Role

We are seeking a Senior Solutions architect to join our Group Finance Architecture team working in the UK on a permanent basis. We are looking for someone with In-depth working experience with Agile and Scrum, with solid, proven experience in a large scalable Agile environment

The Senior Solutions Architect will perform architecture activities typically occurring in early project/programme definition phases and which we expect will impact multiple Finance and Treasury platforms as well as other areas for our Banking client.

The Senior Solution architects activities must synchronise with our transformation programmes so collaborating with other Platform and Value Stream Architects within the team is key to success in the role. The successful candidate will have an ability to create clear, concise architecture solutions and communicate these to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring the communication style used is appropriate for the intended audience

Other duties include:
To support design & integrity of the set of platforms / applications to support Group Treasury across Our banking client
Ensuring solution designs reflect the needs of the enterprise and works closely with senior architects to ensure alignment with architectural strategy, standards and policies and are properly recorded in appropriate artefacts.
Collaborate with engineers and other Value Stream IT teams to translate vision into an implementable solution.
Ensuring designs are approved by relevant design authorities with deviations and key design decisions recorded appropriately.
Capturing and analysing specific business requirements and creating IT solution designs, ensuring all functional and non-functional requirements are properly satisfied.
Engagement with delivery teams to ensure architecture is understood and implemented, providing necessary solution design guidance where requiredWhat we're looking for
Extensive experience of solutions architecture in a banking environment is essential;
Having experience / understanding on areas such as Capital Management, Liquidity, Interest Rate Risk, Financial Resource Management would be a strong advantage
Demonstrable experience designing IT solution architectures with corresponding phasing, transitions and migration plans where necessary
Knowledge and experience across one or more architectural domains (business, data, application, technology)
Knowledge and practical experience of architectural frameworks, techniques and practices used in enterprise and solution architecture
Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems at scale
Experience in an enterprise environment including an understanding of traditional processes and procedures and how they may impact a digital transformation
Experience of modern architecture applying focusing on data and process optimization.Inclusion
