Senior Test Engineer (Active SC Clearance Required)
Location: Bristol, UK (100% Onsite)
Contract Duration: ASAP until June 2027
We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Engineer for a long-term contract supporting a major IT Programme. In this fully onsite role based in Bristol, you will take operational ownership of monthly In-Service Release (ISR) cycles, ensuring all new features and updates meet strict functional and security requirements.
What You'll Do:
Develop monthly release test plans, defining scope, acceptance criteria, and environment requirements.
Execute functional and risk-based regression testing to validate business logic, data flows, and system interactions.
Manage defects using Jira, Zephyr, or TestRail, and run defect-triage meetings.
Produce robust release test summaries and evidence packs for customer sign-off.
Identify opportunities to automate repetitive functional test cases where possible.What You Need:
Active UK SC Clearance.
5+ years of software testing experience in enterprise or defence IT environments.
Deep expertise in manual functional testing, regression testing, and defect management.
Experience with test management platforms like Jira, Zephyr, or Confluence.
