Software Engineer (Golang) - Contract

6 months initial | Outside IR35 | Remote (occasional travel to Manchester / London) | BPSS required
Client: Pixel Global (DWP)

We're looking for a Golang Software Engineer to drive automation and process optimisation across a major government programme

What you'll be doing:

Building in Golang, creating frameworks to enable scalable automation
Working with stakeholders to pilot and embed repeatable automated processes
Shaping automation approaches aligned to defined standards (TS Red Lines)
Challenging manual processes and identifying where automation adds real value

What we need:

Strong Golang development experience
Experience building automation frameworks or tooling
Confident engaging stakeholders and challenging existing processes
Ability to assess automation vs manual trade‑offs
