Social Worker – Looked After Children
Location: Colindale, London
Rate: £37.54 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract: Temporary / Contract
We are seeking an experienced Social Worker – Looked After Children to join a dedicated team in Colindale.
You will manage a varied caseload of children and young people in care, from infancy through to 18 years, providing high-quality assessments, care planning and direct support to achieve positive outcomes, permanency and placement stability.
Key Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of Looked After Children and young people.

Develop and review effective care plans and pathway plans.
*
Undertake assessments, risk assessments and safety planning.
*
Work closely with partner agencies to safeguard children and young people.
*
Undertake direct work, including life story work and supporting children to express their wishes and feelings.
*
Support young people to develop independence and successfully transition to leaving care.
*
Develop creative and innovative approaches to improve outcomes for children in care.
About You
You will have recent experience working as a case holder for Looked After Children, with strong knowledge of safeguarding, care planning and statutory social work practice.
You will be a creative, analytical and committed Social Worker who is passionate about achieving the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
Mandatory: Must have a UK Passport or a Full Right to Work in the UK
