Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to oversee the refurbishment of a commercial unit into seven residential flats. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project, from planning and budgeting to execution and delivery.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
* Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project progression.
* Oversee the construction process, ensuring adherence to building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
* Manage day-to-day operations on the construction site, including scheduling, inspections, and quality control.
* Monitor project expenses and track expenditures against the budget, making adjustments as necessary to ensure profitability.
* Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, challenges, and milestones.
* Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process, implementing effective solutions to keep the project on track.
* Maintain a safe and organized work environment, implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role, with a successful track record of managing residential construction projects from start to finish.
* In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, as well as building codes and regulations.
* Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve project goals.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
* Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach to project management.
* Proficiency in project management software and tools, as well as MS Office applications.
* Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction management or a related field.
