Description:

Our client is a Construction Main Contractor, that provide a comprehensive range of services including Industrial/Logistics, Commercial Offices, Residential, Refurbishment, Sports and Leisure, and Education projects.

We are recruiting a Senior Site Manager on their behalf, who will be responsible for the successful execution and delivery of an Industrial/Distribution project in Basingstoke.

Key Responsibilities:

1.

Project Management:

* Lead the overall management of the construction site, overseeing all aspects of the project from initiation to completion.

* Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company objectives.

* Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

2.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Management:

* Champion a culture of safety on the construction site, adhering to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.

* Conduct regular safety inspections and audits, addressing any hazards or non-compliance issues promptly.

* Implement robust safety protocols and procedures to minimize accidents and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.

Team Leadership and Coordination:

* Manage and coordinate site personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient project execution.

* Provide strong leadership and direction to the project team, motivating them to achieve project goals and objectives.

* Foster a collaborative working environment, promoting open communication and teamwork among all project stakeholders.

Client and Stakeholder Relations:

* Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, consultants, regulatory authorities, and other project stakeholders.

* Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, addressing their concerns and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

* Keep stakeholders informed of project progress, milestones, and any relevant updates or changes throughout the construction process.

Quality Assurance and Control:

* Implement quality control measures to ensure that construction work meets contractual specifications, industry standards, and client expectations.

* Conduct regular inspections and quality audits to identify deficiencies or deviations from project requirements, taking corrective actions as necessary.

* Ensure that all construction activities adhere to approved plans, specifications, and relevant quality assurance procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).

Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager or similar role, with a successful track record of managing large-scale construction projects, particularly warehouse builds.

Extensive knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve project objectives.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar applications.

Valid construction-related certifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid) and thorough understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
