Senior Engineer – £100m High-Rise Residential Project
Birmingham City Centre
Up to £70,000 + Comprehensive Package
A leading Tier 1 Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join the team delivering a landmark £100 million high-rise residential development in the heart of Birmingham.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role on one of the city’s flagship schemes, working alongside an experienced project team on a complex, technically challenging build from structural frame through to completion.
The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for:
* Managing and coordinating all engineering activities on site.
* Overseeing subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme.
* Reviewing and managing technical drawings, specifications, and design information.
* Ensuring quality standards and compliance with project requirements.
* Supporting the management of temporary works and logistics.
* Maintaining accurate site records and progress reports.
* Mentoring and developing junior engineers within the team.
Requirements
* Proven experience working as a Senior Engineer or Site Engineer on large-scale construction projects.
* Background with a recognised Main Contractor.
* High-rise residential or major RC frame experience preferred.
* Strong understanding of quality assurance, setting out, and engineering processes.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Degree or HNC/HND qualified in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
* SMSTS and CSCS qualifications desirable.
