Senior Scientist
This post will be based at the in Exeter, UK and work with the Unified Model (UM) on the client HPC. The post will design, run and analyse experiments assessing the impact of the CO2 response of vegetation on contemporary and future regional climate and its subsequent feedback. The contractor will develop the model incorporating new science components from the wider project.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
· PhD or equivalent
· Knowledge and ability to run climate models, preferably UM based setups including UKESM
· Knowledge and experience of analysing climate model data
· Security clearance - you must meet security requirements to work unsupervised at the organisation.

The post will design, run and analyse experiments assessing the impact of the CO2 response of vegetation on contemporary and future regional carbon sinks and ecosystems. The contractor will develop the model incorporating new science components from the wider project.

· Knowledge and ability to run land models, preferably JULES based setups
