Senior Scaffold Design Engineer
Location: Office based (Birmingham), Hybrid Options, Travel throughout UK will be necessary
Salary: £60,000 P/A + Car Allowance + Medical Insurance + Company Pension
Overview of the Role:
You will collaborate with colleagues and clients in the Construction and Civils industry to design and install scaffolding and temporary works in line with industry standards and company expectations.
In return you will receive a competitive salary of £60,000 P/A + Car Allowance + Medical Insurance + Company Pension and once proven, have opportunities for progression within the business.
Applicants with relevant qualifications and senior-level experience in design and engineering or the construction industry will be considered. Experience in scaffolding or temporary works design is essential, preferably with containment design experience.
Role Responsibilities:
" Planning, Designing and implementing scaffolding projects.
" Ensure compliance with the latest UK regulations and policies.
" Analyse structural integrity using engineering knowledge and propose hazard control measures.
" Survey sites, liaise with clients and site teams, and represent the company at meetings.
" Always uphold the reputation of the company.
" Ensure Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental practices are in line with company policies and expectations.
" Effective project timeframe management from inception to completion.
" Efficient communication with ops team and key stakeholders.
" Completion of training courses as and when required.
Skills and Experience:
" Degree level qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
" HND, HNC's will be considered.
" Health and Safety awareness within the construction industry.
" Experience with AutoCAD to meet UK construction design standards. (CADS A3d max, STAAD Pro etc)
" In depth understanding of relevant regulations (CDM Regulations 2015, WAHR 2005).
" Industry experience within construction and design.
" Competency with Microsoft Office skills, in particular MS Excel.
" Excellent communication skills.
" Motivated and willing to go above and beyond.
" Practical knowledge of scaffolding and temporary works.
" Awareness of social media and happy to utilise with a view to Business Development.
" Industry Membership or working towards a membership in ICE, IStructE or similar body.
