Senior Internal Sales Executive – Timber & Builders Merchant

Location: Biddenden, Kent

Salary: Starting at £28,000 PA - £38,000.00 (Dependent Upon Experience) + Benefits

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, and alternate Saturdays from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, sales driven and efficient Senior Internal Sales Executive to join our team at a reputable Timber & Builders Merchants in Biddenden, Kent.

As an Area Sales Executive, you will be tasked with generating new business for the branch, taking over existing sales ledgers within the business and maintaining and increasing sales volumes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and Capture new Sales opportunities.

• Process sales orders and telephone sales orders.

• Help to exceed branch Sales, Margins and Gross profit.

• Respond positively and effectively to customer's needs.

• Agree the best possible margin when negotiating with customers in line with ledger budgets and KPI's

• Cultivate and maintain exceptional standards of customer service and ensure our Company Standards and Company Policies are met.

• Positively act as the link between your branch and your customers

• Deal with customer queries, issues & complaints effectively, pleasantly and in a timely manner.

• Be vigilant to prevent fraud

• Be vigilant and report any Health & Safety issues to the Line Manager immediately.

Experience & Attributes

- Previous Sales Experience in a Builders Merchants (essential)

- Industry and product knowledge.

- Demonstrates a positive, friendly and stable attitude.

- Is prepared to develop a knowledge of the company, its products and the elements required to be successfully employed in the business.

- Someone who will promote and adhere to the company's cultures, values and professionalism.

- Good interpersonal skills, confident and able to approach customers.

- Excellent communicating, influencing and negotiating skills. Both oral and written

- Ability to prioritise responsibilities under pressure and be self-motivated.

- Confidence to cold call existing and prospective customers

- Good IT skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
