Our client is a manufacturer of precision components to a variety of industries worldwide. They manufacture items such as Controllers & Temperature Probes. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a Senior Sales Engineer to lead their internal Sales Engineer team in Irlam, Manchester.
The Role
Working Mon-Friday 8.30am-5.00pm, the Senior Sales Engineer will be responsible for leading a small team, whilst remaining 'hands on' with customers. Main duties include:
* Supporting the teams sales activities both pro active and re active to achieve orders and sales targets
* Delivering feedback to head of sales on KPI’s and Monthly Business Review requirements
* Supporting the team with the implementation and use of business systems and processes
* Drive and contribute to the achievement of sales performance of the region, identifying and proactively engaging with large or high potential customers, delivering an exceptional customer satisfaction experience
* Identify customers' needs and provide the 'best' or 'total' solution from a wide range of products and services.
* Create customer quotations.
* Identify areas of growth for individual products, product areas, customers, and markets, and provide feedback to marketing, design, and sourcing groups.
* Meet and exceed key performance measurements•
* Support Internal Customers such as: Customer Service, Expedite, Purchasing and Export
* Must thrive in a high-performance environment, be able to multitask and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
What We Are Looking For
The Senior Sales Engineer must have worked in a technical sales role previously. Ideally you will have the following:
Essential:
* The person needs to be fluent in English, written and spoken.
* Experience in a technical sales position
* Experienced user of Microsoft office products, Outlook, Word and Excel.
Desirable:
* Experience of managing a team
* A good working knowledge of pressure gauges for industrial applications.
* Another language(s): German, French, Spanish or Italian (not essential)s.
* Working knowledge of load cells in industrial applications
* Familiarity with temperature controllers and indicators.
* Familiar with Dataloggers and DAQ
* Familiar with Sales Force CRM
* Miller Heiman Sales trained
The Package
The Senior Sales Engineer will receive a competitive basic salary of £40,000 - £50,000 (DOE). In addition, you will receive the following benefits:
