Seeking Senior Risk Manager
We’re partnered with an investment firm based just outside of London who specialise in trading across a diverse range of financial instruments. They’re now looking to bring an experienced Risk Manager into their team. If you hold extensive experience in risk oversight within asset management or hedge fund environments, we want to hear from you. This role demands a deep understanding of market risk across various asset classes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement thorough risk management policies and procedures tailored to the firm's trading activities.
* Conduct ongoing risk assessments to identify and analyse potential threats to the firm's trading positions, including market, credit, liquidity, and operational risks.
* Monitor trading activities in real-time to identify and address emerging risks promptly.
* Using advanced quantitative methodologies, model and predict potential market risk scenarios.
* Collaborate closely with traders, portfolio managers, and other stakeholders to understand trading strategies and their associated risks.
* Stay informed about market developments, regulatory changes, and industry best practices in risk management.
* Prepare regular risk reports and presentations for senior management and regulatory authorities.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
* Extensive experience in risk management within asset management or hedge fund environments.
* Strong understanding of financial markets, trading instruments, and trading strategies.
* Proficiency in quantitative modelling.
* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
* Professional risk management certification (e.g., FRM, PRM) is advantageous
