JP Healthcare Recruitment are currently recruiting for two experienced Senior Residential Support Workers to join a children’s residential service in Fareham supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about making a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people within a supportive and therapeutic environment.
Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential
* Previous experience working within children’s residential care
* Full UK driving licence – essential
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Ability to support young people with challenging behaviours and complex needs
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support the staff team during shifts
* Supervise and mentor junior staff members
* Support the Registered Manager with day-to-day running of the home
* Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people
* Promote education, independence and daily living skills
* Support care planning and keyworker responsibilities
* Attend meetings and complete accurate records/documentation
* Create a safe, nurturing and supportive environment for young people
