Senior Residential Support Worker - Children's Residential Home

Wirral, Merseyside

£38,000 + £70 per sleep, Full-Time

About the Role:
As Senior Residential Support Worker, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of a children’s home that specialises in supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). You will work closely with the Deputy and Home Manager to uphold high standards of care, lead and motivate the care team, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Your work will have a direct impact on the wellbeing and development of the children in your care.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support the Deputy and Home Manager in daily operations of the home

* Assist children with EBD and managing challenging behaviours

* Lead, motivate, and supervise care staff

* Encourage and facilitate staff training and development

* Maintain accurate records and documentation

* Ensure compliance with OFSTED standards and other regulatory frameworks

* Support children and young people in a person-centred manner

Essential Requirements:

* Proven experience in a senior care role

* Strong knowledge of OFSTED regulations and standards

* Excellent organisational and communication skills

* Flexibility to work a mixture of shifts, including approximately one sleep shift per week

* Relevant care qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 4 or equivalent)
