Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team in St Helens. In this important role, you will provide high-quality care and support to young people in our children’s home, helping to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. Working as part of a committed team, you will contribute to the day-to-day care of residents, uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and wellbeing, and support children on their journey toward independence and positive outcomes. Your professionalism, empathy, and passion for transforming young lives will make a real difference.

Location: St Helens
Hours: Full-time (details to be confirmed; sleeps may be required)

Responsibilities

* Support the daily operations of the children’s home, ensuring a safe and positive environment for all young residents

* Deliver high-quality care in line with individual care plans and Ofsted standards

* Build positive, trusting relationships with children to promote resilience, independence, and personal development

* Contribute to safeguarding practices, risk assessments, and the overall wellbeing of residents

* Work collaboratively with colleagues, managers, and external professionals to maintain the highest standards of care

* Encourage and support children to participate in activities that aid their growth and development

* Uphold professionalism, ethical conduct, and a commitment to continuous improvement in residential care

Requirements

* Must hold a Level 3 or 4 qualification in Children’s Residential Care (or equivalent)

* Experience in an Ofsted-registered children’s home

* Knowledge of Ofsted standards and processes

* Strong communication and teamwork skills

* A commitment to delivering the highest standards of care, professionalism, and ethical conduct

* Passion for transforming the lives of children
