Senior Care Practitioner
NEW Children's Home - Maidstone, Kent
£31,000 plus yearly bonus
We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Care Practitioner to join a NEW Children's Home opening in Maidstone to support the Deputy Manager in managing all aspects of the home, shift lead and support the staff team and support and nurture the children and young people in their care.
As the Senior Care Practitioner it is essential that you have exceptional knowledge of all Ofsted and government legislations and it is also essential that you have a strong working background within childrens residential care services.
Senior Care Practitioner - Description of Role;
Provide the highest level of emotional and physical support to the children within the homes care in line with all legislative and regulatory requirements.
Work with passion and drive to ensure the aims and objectives of the home are achieved with then best possible outcome for the children and young people.
Ensure that you adhere to the protection of children standard; 'children are protected from harm and enabled to keep themselves safe'.
Safeguarding Responsibilities: Make yourself aware of the safeguarding policy and all other safeguarding policies and procedures during induction, training and personal development. Stay up to date with changes in procedures.
You are required to make yourself aware of all plans that are in place to reduce the risk of harm to any child in the care of the home, and to follow these plans.
Know who the safeguarding leads are and how to report concerns.
Comply with all training in identifying signs of harm and abuse.
Respond immediately to any young person to keep them safe.
Make yourself aware of what to do if a child makes a disclosure.
Support your colleagues to know what could be considered as a safeguarding issue.A competitive salary of up to £31,000 dependent upon experience is offered. (this includes a shift rota and includes two sleeps per week. Details of this can be discussed on application)
