Introduction
Our client, a leading company in the water industry, is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This is a contract position based in Walton-on-Thames, offering a competitive daily rate of £450 a/d Inside IR35. With a focus on the water sector, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to contribute to important projects in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the contractual and financial aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with company standards and client requirements.
Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
Perform risk analysis and identify potential cost savings or value engineering opportunities.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate pricing and timely payment processing.
Monitor project progress, variations, and claims, providing regular reports to stakeholders.
Assist with the preparation of tender documents, contract negotiation, and final account agreements.
Job Requirements
Significant experience in quantity surveying within the water, civil, or rail sectors.
Strong knowledge of contract conditions and commercial management.
Proficiency in preparing and reviewing cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
Ability to analyse risks, identify potential issues, and provide proactive solutions.
Qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field is highly desirable.
