Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Day Rate: Up to £450 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire
Contract Length: 6-month initial contract (likely to be extended)
Situation: The Civils and Infrastructure division at Ford and Stanley are proud to be supporting one of the UK’s largest and most accomplished civil engineering and rail contractors in their search for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, to assist in the successful commercial management of an £800m rail/civils project.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide commercial contact with supply chain partners through pre-contract meetings, contract vetting and input to subcontract documents.
Commercial management of subcontractors including processing payments, obtaining final account agreements, and resolving issues by negotiation.
Monitor the timely production of cost performance data.
Produce and present monthly/quarterly cost reports.
Be responsible for the timely production of applications for payments in accordance with the provisions of the contract.
Attend and provide input to site commercial meetings.
Provide input and support for the production of financial assessments of insurance claims
Key Criteria:
Essential: Experienced Quantity Surveyor from a main contractor background
Essential: Experience working on major projects within the heavy civil engineering and/or rail sectors
Essential: Demonstrable experience managing CVR processes, subcontract management, change etc.
Essential: Able to commute to site in Huddersfield on a daily basis (Monday – Friday)
