About the Role
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a proven track record in managing project costs and income?
We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team on the East Coast of Scotland. In this role, you will play a crucial part in minimizing project costs and enhancing value for money while maintaining high standards and quality.
What you'll be doing
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will:
Manage all costs and income within your area of responsibility.
Mentor and develop a team of less experienced commercial staff.
Maintain Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Key Responsibilities
Governance:
Adhere to company governance requirements and maximize LEAN/digital opportunities.
Commercial Management and Administration:
Prepare activity and resource schedules, analyze tender documents, and negotiate with third parties. Review complex contract programs and assist with delay and disruption programs.
Customer/Change Management:
Understand customer contracts, manage customer and stakeholder relationships, negotiate claims, and handle compensation events.
Procurement:
Conduct constructability analyses, prepare procurement programs, and help develop procurement strategies.
Development, Recruitment, and Retention:
Support the recruitment, supervision, and development of team members.
Who we're looking for
Essential Skills and Qualifications
BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent knowledge.
Chartered Member of RICS, ICES, or CIOB, or working towards membership.
Professional Qualified Person CSCS Card.
Strong commercial acumen and experience in managing project costs.
