Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager
Edinburgh | Growing Main Contractor
I'm working with a growing and ambitious main contractor that is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager to join its team based in Edinburgh.
This is an excellent opportunity to take the next step in your career with a business that has a strong pipeline of work and genuine plans for growth. You'll have full commercial responsibility for your own projects while also managing and mentoring another Quantity Surveyor, giving you the opportunity to develop your leadership skills.
The Role:
* Lead the commercial delivery of your own construction projects from procurement through to final account.
* Manage project costs, contracts, valuations and commercial reporting.
* Mentor and manage a Quantity Surveyor, supporting their development.
* Work closely with operational teams to maximise project profitability.
* Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
About You:
* Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager within a main contractor.
* Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
* Previous experience managing or mentoring junior commercial staff is desirable.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Looking to play a key role within a growing business.
