Senior Quantity Surveyor

Description:

Sphere Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Part-Time Quantity Surveyor to support a well-established specialist construction contractor based in Bristol.

The business has over 25 years' experience within the construction sector, delivering specialist drylining, internal partitioning, suspended ceilings and associated interior systems across commercial, residential, education, healthcare and new-build projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with a strong construction background who can take ownership of commercial management across drylining packages, including packages valued up to approximately £5 million.

Key Responsibilities

* Commercial management of drylining and interior packages up to £5m.

* Cost control, forecasting and reporting.

* Subcontract procurement and package management.

* Reviewing valuations, applications and payments.

* Managing variations, change and final accounts.

* Monitoring project costs against budget.

* Subcontractor account management and negotiation.

* Supporting tendering and pricing where required.

* Identifying commercial risks and opportunities.

* Working closely with site and project teams.

* Maintaining accurate commercial records and reporting.

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.

* Strong experience managing drylining packages is essential.

* Experience with packages up to £5 million.

* Good understanding of subcontract management, variations and final accounts.

* Strong commercial and negotiation skills.

* Ability to work independently and manage priorities.

* Good communication skills.
