The Senior Quantity Surveyor Role
A leading specialist in the delivery of exceptional prime residential projects is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team in Chelsea.
The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will work on prestigious residential projects across some of London's most exclusive addresses, delivering highly detailed refurbishment and construction schemes for private clients.
Reporting to a Senior Quantity Surveyor, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects from procurement through to final account. This will include subcontractor procurement, valuations, cost reporting, variations and maintaining strong financial control throughout each project.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will work closely with project managers, designers, consultants and specialist subcontractors, ensuring commercial objectives are achieved without compromising the exceptional quality expected within the prime residential market.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor
The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will have:
Previous Quantity Surveying experience within residential construction
Experience working on prime or super-prime residential projects is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of subcontract procurement and commercial management
Experience managing valuations, variations, cost reports and final accounts
Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work effectively with clients, consultants and specialist subcontractors
A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related construction discipline
MRICS, working towards chartership, or another relevant professional qualification would be advantageous
