Parker Jones Group are acting on behalf of a new homes developer. They are currently hiring for a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a full time permnant role. This is a great oppurtunity to join a company who has a great reputation.

Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation: Conduct detailed cost estimations for residential construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.

Budget Preparation: Prepare comprehensive budgets for residential projects, considering all aspects of construction, from pre-construction to completion.

Value Engineering: Collaborate with project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions without compromising quality.

Procurement: Coordinate procurement activities, including sourcing materials, obtaining subcontractor bids, and negotiating contracts to ensure competitive pricing.

Cost Control: Monitor project expenditures against budgeted costs, identifying deviations and implementing corrective measures as necessary to ensure financial objectives are met.

Change Management: Assess and manage changes to project scope, evaluating their impact on costs and timelines and providing recommendations to stakeholders.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to cost and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.

Reporting: Generate regular reports on project financial performance, including cost forecasts, cash flow projections, and variance analysis, to inform decision-making processes.

Client Relations: Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, providing transparent and accurate information regarding project costs and financial status.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and industry standards related to cost management and procurement processes.

Requirements:

Need to have residental housing expereince.

Degree in Quantity Surveying is preffered.

UK Drivers Licence.

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the residential construction sector, with a strong track record of successfully managing cost-related aspects of projects.

In-depth knowledge of construction cost estimation techniques, procurement processes, and contract management principles
