Description:
CJC Recruit are currently assiting our large client in their search for a Senior Quantity Surveyor for their upcoming, multimillion pounds project in Glasgow.
Responsibilities:
* Negotiate various allocated subcontract packages
* Place subcontract packages
* Liaise with construction team on a regular basis
* Carry out commercial management of subcontract packages
* Identify any subcontract compensation events that can be passed upstream
* Carry out monthly cost evaluations of subcontract packages to meet accounting timetable
* Carry out monthly updated end-cost evaluations of subcontract packages to meet accounting timetable
* Manage and develop junior members of the commercial team
* Receive initial and periodic safety inductions
* Ensure that site conduct is in accordance with the safety inductions and policies
* Observe and feedback on any site safety issues observed whilst on site
Requirements:
* Time served QS
* Experience in large scale projects
* Career driver
* Relevant QS Degree
