Description:

We are working with a leading contractor delivering a major planned works programme across a large social housing portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Surveyor to join a growing team and play a key role in the commercial delivery of a high-value contract covering a range of refurbishment and improvement works, including, kitchens & bathrooms, roofing projects, external works, windows & doors, general refurbishment schemes.

The Role

As Project Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of planned works projects from inception through to final account. You will ensure costs are controlled effectively, risks are managed proactively, and projects are delivered in line with programme and budget requirements.

Working closely with operational teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders, you will play a vital role in driving commercial performance across the contract.

Key Respons

Take full commercial responsibility for multiple planned work streams.
Manage pre and post-contract activities, including valuations, variations, and final accounts.
Prepare and review pricing using Schedule of Rates and client frameworks.
Conduct site visits, measurements, and cost validation exercises.
Procure and manage subcontractor packages through to completion.
Produce monthly CVRs, forecasts, cash flow reports, and cost analysis.
Support operational teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, supply chain partners, and key stakeholders.
Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.Education, Skills and E

HNC / HND Construction or BSc (hons) Quantity Surveying & Commercial Management
Experience of working with a main contractor.
Proven experience as a Project Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor within the social housing sector.
Strong background delivering planned maintenance or planned works programmes.
Experience managing multiple work streams, including kitchens, bathrooms, roofing, externals, and refurbishment projects.
Experience working on large-scale or newly mobilised social housing contracts.
Experience working with Schedule of Rates contracts.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively while managing your own workload effectively
