Description:
Our client is a leading consultancy in civil and structural engineering, seeking an exceptional Quantity Surveyor for their engineering projects.
Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quantity surveying and cost management for civil and structural engineering projects from inception to completion.
Main responsibilities, but not limited to:
Manage the cost management element for the delivery of works, including the provision of commercial support to the design and client teams
Preparation of bills of quantities and schedules of work for pricing
involvement in tender stage activities such tender reviews and development of procurement plan
Prepare and monitor the submission and approval of design, specification and cost estimates informationEssential Requirements:
Chartered Quantity Surveyor: Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland
A minimum of 5 years post graduation experience
Knowledge of and experience in NEC and Public Works contracts
Experience in other forms of contracts desirable
Knowledge of Quality Assurance systems and quality management
Knowledge of CDM RegulationDesirable:
Project management
Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite - Excel and Word
An awareness of recent developments in engineering design and research
