Long-Term Contract
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join one of the UK's leading Tier 1 infrastructure contractors on a flagship water treatment project just outside of London.
This is a key commercial appointment on a high-profile scheme that is currently at an early stage. The project forms part of a substantial long-term framework programme, offering security, continuity of work and the chance to play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of critical infrastructure.
The Role
Working as part of a high-performing commercial team, you will take ownership of key project elements, ensuring robust commercial management throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities will include:
Cost management, forecasting and financial reporting
Procurement and management of subcontract packages
Contract administration (NEC) and commercial governance
Change management and compensation event assessment
Review and agreement of subcontractor accounts and claims
Management of project risk and opportunities
Supporting project delivery teams with commercial advice and challenge
Ensuring accurate cost control and cash flow management
Contributing to project commercial strategy as the scheme transitions into construction
About You
We are keen to speak with commercially astute Quantity Surveyors who can demonstrate strong fundamentals in:
Cost control and project forecasting
Procurement and subcontract management
Managing change and commercial risk
Assessment and negotiation of subcontractor claims
Commercial reporting and stakeholder management
Whilst experience within the water sector would be highly advantageous, we are equally interested in candidates from major civil engineering infrastructure backgrounds.
Experience working for a Tier 1 contractor and operating within complex NEC contracting environments would be particularly beneficial.
Why Apply?
Long-term contract opportunity
High-value, technically complex infrastructure project
Major framework-backed programme
Strong pipeline of future work
Opportunity to work with one of the UK's most respected infrastructure contractors
Excellent day rate available
If you're a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for your next contract opportunity on a flagship infrastructure project, I'd be keen to discuss this role in more detail.
