Role Overview:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of the hospital revamp scheme. This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary between £62,000 and £69,000, plus an attractive package. Your expertise will ensure the project's financial health, from initial budgeting to final accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Cost Management: Oversee and manage all project costs, ensuring they remain within budget.
* Budget Preparation: Prepare detailed cost plans and budgets for the project.
* Procurement: Manage the procurement process, including tendering and contract negotiations.
* Valuations and Payments: Conduct regular valuations and manage the payment process for contractors and subcontractors.
* Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential financial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
* Reporting: Provide regular financial reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
* Contract Administration: Administer contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
* Team Leadership: Mentor and lead junior quantity surveyors and support staff.
Requirements:
* Qualifications: A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field. RICS or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
* Experience: A minimum of 8 years' experience in quantity surveying, with significant exposure to healthcare or hospital projects.
* Skills: Strong financial management, negotiation, and communication skills. Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
* Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction contracts, law, and regulations related to quantity surveying.
* Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
