Ready to step up into a Senior QS role without having to leave North Wales?

We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a team deliver work across a strong pipeline of Welsh Water and Civils infrastructure projects throughout North Wales.

This is a permanent opportunity offering long-term career progression, regional continuity and exposure to projects up to £25m in value with an established principal civil engineering contractor.

It could be particularly well suited to an experienced intermediate-level Quantity Surveyor who's ready to take the next step and assume greater commercial responsibility.

The Role

You'll take commercial responsibility for civil engineering and water infrastructure projects, working closely with operational teams from project commencement through to final account.

Responsibilities will include:

*

Commercial management of civil engineering projects and package

*

Managing project cost, value and cash flow

*

Preparation of forecasts, CVRs and commercial reporting

*

Procurement and commercial management of subcontractors

*

Assessment and management of subcontractor applications and payments

*

Identification, notification and commercial management of change

*

Maintaining accurate contractual records and correspondence

*

Supporting the management of NEC3 / NEC4 contracts

*

Working closely with Project Managers and operational teams to protect commercial performance

*

Identifying commercial risk and opportunity throughout project delivery

*

Preparing and agreeing valuations and applications for payment

*

Managing final accounts with clients and subcontractors

*

Supporting and developing more junior members of the commercial team

*

Building effective relationships with clients, supply-chain partners and internal stakeholders

What We're Looking For

You'll ideally have:

*

Previous Quantity Surveying experience within civil engineering or infrastructure

*

A good understanding of construction contracts and commercial management

*

NEC3 and/or NEC4 experience would be advantageous

*

Strong cost reporting, forecasting and subcontract management capability

*

The confidence to work closely with operational teams and take ownership of commercial matters

*

Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline

You don't necessarily need to already have years of experience carrying the Senior QS title.
