We are partnering with one of the UK’s most respected main contractors, a business with a turnover exceeding £700 million and a strong national presence. Over the past 25 years, they have built deep, long‑standing client relationships, resulting in a substantial secured order book and a healthy pipeline of projects nationwide.

This opportunity sits within a well‑established business unit delivering refurbishment, remediation, retrofit, and building safety projects across London and the South. Their client base includes local authorities and housing associations, with schemes spanning residential, student accommodation, and wider regeneration programmes.

You’ll be joining a business led by a highly experienced senior leadership team with a proven track record of delivering complex, high‑quality projects. The culture is collaborative, stable, and built around long-term frameworks rather than one‑off wins.

The Opportunity

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial ownership of a long-term Housing Assocation planned works framework, covering:

*

Kitchens & Bathrooms

*

Roofing

*

Windows & Doors

*

Associated refurbishment and improvement works

This is a multi‑year programme with predictable workflow, strong client engagement, and minimal travel requirements. You’ll be primarily based at the Hertfordshire head office with hybrid working (3 days office / 2 days WFH).

Key Responsibilities

*

Lead commercial management across planned works projects from procurement to final account

*

Build and maintain strong client relationships across the framework

*

Work closely with operational teams to ensure successful project delivery

*

Support continuous improvement across the framework and wider business unit

What You’ll Bring

*

Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior QS within refurbishment, planned works, or social housing

*

Strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage multiple workstreams

*

Excellent communication and client‑facing skills

*

A proactive, solutions‑focused approach

*

Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture

Package & Benefits

This role offers a strong, well-rounded package designed to support both your professional and personal wellbeing:

*

£5,200 car allowance or company vehicle

*

Travel to site fully covered

*

Private healthcare

*

5% pension contribution

*

Life cover at 3x salary

*

Hybrid working (3 days office / 2 days WFH)

*

Long-term framework stability and clear progression pathways
